CourtCrew Privacy Policy
Effective Date: Oct 1, 2026
Overview & Who We Are
CourtCrew is a mobile and web app for organizing and tracking padel and pickleball games ("CourtCrew," "the App"). CourtCrew is operated by Penny Lane & Co LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our").
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use CourtCrew, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have over it. By creating an account or otherwise using CourtCrew, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy.
This Policy covers the CourtCrew mobile app and website, and the related services built into them, including account registration, game matchmaking, the social feed, direct messaging, court listings and reviews, and paid subscriptions.
Information We Collect
Account information. Your name, email address, and a unique identifier created by Firebase Authentication when you sign up or sign in (including sign-in with Google).
Profile information. Your profile photo, bio, city, preferred sport (padel, pickleball, or both), and skill level.
Gameplay & social activity. Match results you log (score, venue, opponents, duration), your ELO rating and rating history, game listings you create or join, likes and comments on matches, who you follow and who follows you, your "playing network" of people you've played with, and court reviews and ratings you write.
Messages. The content of direct messages you send through CourtCrew's messaging feature, and which conversations you're part of.
Location information. See the "Location Information" section below.
Payment & subscription information. If you subscribe to CourtCrew Premium, our payment processor Stripe collects and stores your card details directly — we never see or store your full card number. We store your subscription status, trial dates, and a Stripe customer/subscription ID so we can manage your subscription.
Push notifications. If you turn on push notifications, we store a device-specific subscription token to deliver them, along with your notification preferences.
Photos you upload. Profile photos and match photos you choose to upload, stored with our cloud storage provider.
Location Information
CourtCrew uses location information to help you find nearby courts, nearby players, and open games, and as part of CourtCrew Premium's location-based matching features.
During onboarding and while using location-based features, we ask your device for permission to access precise location (latitude/longitude). You can decline, though some features (like "games near me") won't work without it.
You can also set a general city instead of sharing precise location.
Premium users' location may be stored over time (with a timestamp) to power ongoing "nearby players" matching, rather than a single one-time lookup.
You can turn off location sharing at any time in your device settings or in-app, and you can delete stored location history by deleting your account (see "Data Retention, Account Deletion & Your Privacy Rights" below).
We do not sell your location information to third parties.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Create and maintain your account, and verify your identity when you sign in
Operate core features: match tracking, ELO ratings, game listings, court directories and reviews, the social feed, following/followers, and direct messaging
Match you with nearby players, games, and courts based on your location and preferences
Process payments, manage your subscription and free trial, and send related billing notices
Send push notifications and in-app notifications you've opted into (such as new messages, game reminders, or social activity)
Respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account
Maintain the security of the App, detect and prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service
Improve and develop CourtCrew's features based on how the App is used
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
Other users of CourtCrew. Your profile (name, photo, bio, skill level, ELO rating), match history, social posts, likes, comments, and court reviews are visible to other users as part of the App's social features. Direct messages are only visible to the people in that conversation.
Service providers. We share information with companies that help us run CourtCrew, under contracts that limit how they can use it:
Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing
Firebase / Google — account authentication (including Google Sign-In) and app infrastructure
Google Cloud Storage — storing profile and match photos you upload
Railway and Neon — our application hosting and database providers
Push notification delivery is handled through the standard Web Push protocol used by your device's browser or operating system
Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CourtCrew, our users, or the public.
Business transfers. If CourtCrew or Penny Lane & Co LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
Data Retention, Account Deletion & Your Privacy Rights
Retention. We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and as needed to provide the App, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Deleting your account. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the App. This removes your profile, matches, messages, social activity, and location history from our active database. Some information may be retained for a limited time afterward where we're legally required to (for example, billing records needed for tax purposes).
Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Delete your information (including via the in-app Delete Account feature)
Export your information in a portable format
Object to or restrict certain processing of your information
Withdraw consent where we rely on it
If you're in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, these rights are provided under the GDPR/UK GDPR, and you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you're a California resident, similar rights are available to you under California privacy law. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at rob@pennylanecollc.com.
Children's Privacy
CourtCrew is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we've collected information from a user under 18, we will delete it and terminate the associated account. If you believe a user under 18 is using CourtCrew, please contact us at rob@pennylanecollc.com.
Security & International Users
Security. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — such as encrypted connections and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
International users. CourtCrew is operated from the United States. If you use CourtCrew from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. or other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your home country. By using CourtCrew, you consent to this transfer.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the App or by email before the changes take effect. The "Effective Date" at the top of this Policy shows when it was last updated.
